time out in belfast city hall grounds

Friday, July 18 2008 at 10:47 am

I had a bit of spare time in Belfast city centre recently, and, lacking anything better to do, took the chance to grab a coffee (and a tasty snack, I have to admit) and sit awhile in the grounds of the City Hall. As I kicked back and watched the world go by, it struck me what a great resource the little green haven I was sitting in is to both the people of Belfast and to visitors to the city.

from serendipity to wordpress

Sunday, July 13 2008 at 10:58 pm

Continuing my efforts to avoid doing any real work on my various projects and faff about tweaking things for no good reason, I’ve now migrated this blog to be Powered By WordPress. There was no compelling reason to move away from the previous platform (Serendipity), I was just curious about WordPress as it’s one of the most popular blogging platforms around today. First impressions are good…

templepatrick - the las vegas of county antrim

Tuesday, July 8 2008 at 9:09 am

I’ve just had the chance to upgrade the site to this new version and ran into a little problem that stumped me for a while, as the upgraded site just displayed a blank page, no errors and nothing in the logs…

gravity force whdload 1.01 released

Tuesday, June 17 2008 at 10:40 pm

I’ve released an updated WHDLoad patch for Kingsoft’s gravity cave fighter, Gravity Force.

The patch fixes a logic bug where the high scores are not saved if you didn’t use any of the cheats the patch provides, instead of not saving if you did use cheats. Thanks go to daxb for finding and reporting this problem.

Download the patch, instructions and pre-installed image from my download pages or from the Official WHDLoad Website.
